We are blessed to partner with many fantastic venues throughout the state. Each venue works tirelessly to ensure the day is perfect for every guest, every time.

This week, Angela (our award winning Pastry Chef), utilized her gingerbread skills to spotlight a few of these amazing venues.

Here, captured in 100% edible glory is the first in our series – Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, CT.

A former airport hangar, this building is unique and sought after for weddings and special events!

The combination of contemporary design with rustic surroundings makes it a one-of-a-kind venue for any special occasion or just stopping by for a glass of their great wine.

As many brides will attest to (including our founder’s daughter!) the lovely bridal suite, on the second floor, provides a vantage point to view arriving guests, and a spacious, comfortable spot for the bride to get ready for the big day.

Large glass doors lead from the awe-inspiring main room onto a lovely stone terrace that overlooks the grapevines and saltwater marshes. If you put your ear up to the gingerbread house and listen closely, you can almost hear Long Island Sound in the distance. 😉

Visit Saltwater Farm Vineyard and meet Michael, Merrily and their incomparable staff. Like this gingerbread house – it will be sweet!

  1. […] Angela, award winning Pastry Chef, from A Thyme To Cook crafted this beautiful, edible replica of Saltwater Farm Vineyard. It makes me think of building gingerbread houses when I was a kid… there was a lot more eating than there was building. Take a look at her amazing work below, and see the full blog post from A Thyme To Cook here.
